There are three main ways to deal with customers placing fake orders.

Flagging a Customer

By flagging a customer's email or phone number any future orders placed by them will contain a warning message that the order was placed by someone on your notice list.

  1. Under your Restaurant Manager tab, scroll to the bottom of the page.
  2. In the More Settings category click on Flagged Customers.

3. Type the phone number and/or email you would like to flag into the boxes provided. Note: You can also select an option to automatically discard any future orders from these numbers/email addresses.

4. Click the green Add Entries button.

Processing Credit Card Payments in Real-time

If you sign up with an online payment provider they will process the customer's credit card in real-time, ensuring they have payed prior to you fulfilling the order. We support Authorize.Net, Worldpay (formerly Vantiv), Quantum Gateway, Stripe.com, Braintree, Square e-commerce Payments, and PayPal.

Requiring Customers to Verify Their Phone Numbers

You can require the customer to verify their phone number before placing an order. Our system automatically calls the customer and they have to enter a confirmation code on the screen before the order can be placed.

  1. Under your Restaurant Manager tab, scroll to the bottom of the page.
  2. In the More Settings category click on Customer Order Validation.

3. Click the Enable customer order validation box and click Save!
